Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) number 688-27-01. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 97-27. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this solicitation is 811212. The small business size standard is 5 million dollars. Description of Work: Contractor to provide a trained customer representative to handle all 1st call service. Twenty-four hours a day, seven day a week second call phone and remote service, software updates without hardware and one annual preventive maintenance. Service is billable for on-site service at the hourly rate. The service shall be provided for the period of October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002, in accordance with all terms and conditions, provisions and schedules of this solicitation. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds and may be extended for two (2) additional option years in accordance with the clause at 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract.
