- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are bei ng requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS: 336120. Heavy Hauler Truck tractor 3+ axles able to pull removable gooseneck 65-ft length, 7-ft height lowboy trailer with 75-ton payload in class A-D road conditions. Trailer has 62-in k ingpin insert and 1-in corner radius. Truck tractor requires custom 5th wheel loading ramp able to withstand 75-ton payload to facilitate lifting and guiding the trailer. Truck tractor restricted to 65-ft length, 102-in wide, 13.5-ft high. Minimum spec ifications: Chassis 200,000 lb GCW, 222-in wheelbase. Engine: C15 550 550@2100 1850@1200. 80 mph maximum speed and cruise control limit. 1400 idle RPM limit. Heavy haul over size radiator. Jacobs C-155/C-16 retarder. Dual cab side mounted stainless steel exhaust with guards. 13-18-speed auto shift transmission. Front axle: 18-20,000 lbs, power steering and power steering cooler. Rear axle: 52,000 lbs, 3.9 ratio, air ride suspension with indicator light, dash mounted dump value, manual rear brake release, automatic slack adjustors. Tires 11R24.5, front 18 PLY, rear 14 PLY. Fuel tank 100-110 gal. Cab: standard gauge package, driver and passenger air ride seats, A/C, AM/FM radio, large mirrors with bottom convex mirror, day time running lights, rear cargo lights, back up alarm. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commerci al Items. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Technical and performanc e capability of the truck tractor and price will be the factors used to evaluate offers. Technical and performance capability is more important than price.
