Description

Previously, the requirement was stated to be sole source to Vecoplan LLC. However, based on qualifications/capabilities received from at least one additional source, it was determined to be in the best interest of the Government to allow competition on an unrestricted basis. PREVIOUSLY, THE NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION READ AS FOLLOWS: "VECOPLAN FOAM GRINDER HOPPER OPENING: 63 X 78"; HOPPER VOLUME: 5-6 YDS3; ROTOR DIAM: 15"; NUMBER OF CUTTERS: 25-60MM; ROTOR SPEED: 90 RPM; SOUND LEVEL: 60-70 DB; MAX ATTAINABLE OUTPUT: 2,000-6000 LBS/HR; SCREEN SIZE: 6'; DRIVE MOTOR HP: 100; HYDRAULIC FEED RAM HP: 5; VOLTAGE: 460V/3 PHASE/60 HZ CUSTOM OPTIONS PACKAGE (90 RPM DRIVE CONFIGURATION, 60 X 60MM CUTTER, ALLEN BRADLEY SLC 500-L524 PLC WITH KEYBOARD INTERFACE-MICROLOGICS SERIES, 2-SIDED FLAIRED HOPPER, THERMOCOUPLE MOUNTED ON DISCHARGE) INCLUDES RHM INCLINED DISCHARGE CONVEYOR, KKF SERIES. VECOPLAN FOAM GRINDER MODEL # RG62/100-U SERIES." The narrative description for the SOFI Grinder remains as stated, with the following change: Description is superseded with "Two Shaft Slow RPM Grinder (18-25 RPM)" Additionally, offerors are invited to quote on Vecoplan Model # RG62/100-U Series "or equivalent." The closing date is extended to CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 p.m. CST) on October 12, 2001. Any quotations received after this date and time will be considered late and handled accordingly.
