Description

The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations and Environment will host an RCI Industry Forum on October 23, 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Forum will focus on The Army's RCI projects proposed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort Stewart / Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF), Georgia; and Fort Polk, Louisiana. This event will give an overview of the RCI program, objectives and business opportunities, an outline of the two-step request for qualifications (RFQ) process, and presentations of all four Army installations. There will also be a panel session to address questions and concerns. The RFQ for these four RCI sites will be released on October 12, 2001 for the period that ends on November 13, 2001. The RFQ will be available on the RCI Web Page at http://rci.army.mil. Submission instructions will be available in the RFQ. All required submissions must be received by 4:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, on November 13, 2001. The Industry Forum will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Airport) located on 1380 Virginia Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia. This Crowne Plaza hotel is located nearest to the Atlanta International Airport. Conference materials, continental breakfast, light snacks and light lunch will be available at the Forum. Pre-registration will be available at the Crowne Plaza on October 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Final registration will be available on October 23 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. The Forum program will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and will end promptly at 1:30 p.m. Room reservations will be at the Crowne Plaza (Airport). To confirm your room, call (404) 768-6660 or Fax (404) 762-6138. Identify yourself as an Army RCI Industry Forum attendee. The Corporate and Government Rate is $93.00, tax not included. The Hotel will provide free shuttle service to and from the airport. Forum registration will be provided by the Military Housing and Lodging Institute (MHLI) and Professional Housing Management Association (PHMA). You may register on-line at one of the following web sites: http://www.rci.army.mil, http://www.mhli.org or http://www.phma.com, or you obtain a registration form by contacting MHLI/PHMA at (703) 327-6873 and fax your registration form at (703) 327- 4005. MHLI/PHMA will send a confirmation note approximately three days after you email or fax your registration. Attendees are advised to register by October 18, 2001. Prospective developers interested in pursuing Army RCI opportunities who wish to visit any of the four Army installations are advised that high security measures are in effect, therefore, entry into these Army installations may be restricted unless prior coordination is made with RCI site office personnel. To prevent any inconvenience and in preparation to the Forum in Atlanta, one-day tours have been arranged at each of the four RCI sites.
