Description
17. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. The U.S. Coast Guard is conducting market research to determine the existence and interest of possible sources to provide information on logistics support programs for its C37A aircraft. The C37A is a military version of the Gulfstream GV aircraft. Coast Guard personnel will perform minor maintenance duties, such as corrosion control, and preflight, thruflight, postflight, and other routine inspections; organizational level on-equipment maintenance, servicing and routine checks, including removal and replacement of components and minor repairs on installed engines and Auxiliary Power Units (APUs); and limited off-equipment maintenance capability, including, but not limited to, testing of selected LRUs, battery build-up, tire build-up, interior refurbishment, strut removal and replacement, and repair of water and latrine systems after the manufacturer?s initial warranty period. This request solicits vendor's information that explains existing logistics support capabilities, specifically, information on performance based logistics, including dispatch rate performance, or other similar programs. =20 Responses should address how respondents approach: (a) Recommended intermediate level maintenance support for all airframe components including repair or replacement of failed components, repair or replacement of failed support, with the exception of aircraft engines; (b) Recommended depot level maintenance support for all airframe components including repair or replacement of failed components, repair or replacement of failed support, with the exception of aircraft engines; (c) Identification of needed test equipment; (e) Description of recommended technical engineering support; (d) Description of recommended computerized maintenance planning; (e) Point of contact including name, title, phone and email addresses; (f) The size of the contractor, average annual revenue for the past three years and the number of employees; and (g) Whether the business is currently classified as a Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a) and/or Woman Owned company, Hub Zone small business, veteran owned small business, or service disabled veteran owned small business. The NAICS code for this aircraft support is 488190. Prospective vendors are encouraged to submit a capability summary that does not exceed twenty (20) pages in length describing their most relevant corporate experience, and their approach in meeting the requirements stated above.
