- Description
- This is a combined synopsos/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Forensic- Computer.Com, 203 South Jefferson Street, Suite B, Lewisburg,WV 24901-1316, for 32 Each Forensic-Computers.Com. Workhorse IATX 5-Bay System and 1 Each Forensic-Computers.Com Air-Lite II System. The Specifications are as follows: General requirement not to be substituted: * Portable computer system case with black ABS plastic housing and aluminum chassis; * Forensic FireWire Write Protector Bridge Board (IDE Write Protection device) and FireWire to IDE Read/Write device; * Built-in lightweight, high brightness, high contrast NEC flicker free TFT active matrix color 15.1" LCD display capable of 1024 by 768 resolution; * Intel PIII 1GHz or higher processor on Asus CUV4X-E system board (Socket 370) supporting ATA100 standards; * 1GB Crucial ECC PC-133 SDRAM 168-pin memory; * Adaptec 29160 Ultra-160 SCSI controller card; * Equipped with IDE 40-pin ribbon connector and internal power (via Molex power connector) mounted on chassis; * Minimum of five 5.25 bays portable with CRU IDE and SCSI DataPort VI (68-pin, 50- pin, and SCA-80) Removable Drive Bays/Trays; * Capability to hook-up to and image subject drives without removing them from subject's computer; * Plextor 16X10X40X (or greater) IDE CD-RW internal drive with Adaptec CD-Creator Software * Fast Ethernet (10/100) Network Interface Card * Promise Ultra 100 TX-2 IDE Controller Card * Minimum two USB ports * Matrox Dualhead 32MB AGP 4X Video Card * Single unit with power supply built-in. * Full function upgradeable unit and with full-function fold top design keyboard keyboard, touchpad and MS PS/2 Intellimouse * Suitable for permanent laboratory analysis system and yet practical for portability * No larger than 15.75"(W) x 11.50"(H) x 9.75" upper/11.25" lower No larger than 15.75"(W) x 11.50"(H) x 9.75" upper/11.25" lower * MS Windows 98SE OS * Durable air-cargo case and carrying case with pull out handle and dual wheels * Standard Carrying Bag (with wheels and telescoping handle) * Internal 8 cm cooling fan and system exhaust blower on backplane * No heavier than 44 lbs. without air-cargo case; includes installed components * PS/2 ATX 300 watt power, 50-60 Hz auto switching, UCE, UL, CB, CSA and TUV approved Accessories * Certification FCC Class B, UL, CE certified * Four foot IDE and internal power cable set * Two 2.5" IDE notebook hard drive adapters * Klein 10-in-1 Screwdriver * Craftsman Cordless Screwdriver Model 11181 * APC Surge Arrest Professional Model PRO8T2 or equivalent * 1.44MB floppy drive * Two (30GB minimum, 7200 rpm with 2MB cache) hard disk drives * One 80GB (or larger) hard drive * RATOC CardBus PC Card Adapter Model CBS51U (for two units only. Awardee must complete an SF-3381, ACH/Vendor Miscellaneous Payment Enrollment Form, for payment via electronic funds transfer. Quotes will be acceptable by mail or by facsimile at 202/927-8688). This award will be made utilizing the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. All interested parties must submit a quote that demonstrates capability to provide premium maintenance support to include costs, and detailed literature on ability to perform this service by 5:00 p.m. EST Sept. 28, 2001. The period of performance is for 12 months from the date of award. Requirement is for the purchase of Computer Forensic laboratory equipment and support services. The following provisions are applicable to this acquisition: (a) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, (b) FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, (c) FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Awardee must complete a SF-3381 ACH Vendor/Miscellaneous Payment Enrollment Form. Quotes must include delivered price and product literature, which lists specifications. Award will be based on meeting the technical specifications listed above, on an ALL OR NONE. Quotes will be acceptable by mail or by facsimile at 202/927-8688.
