- Description
- This is a market research to locate sources for the acquisition of the Ground Data Terminal (GDT) Spares and Depot Level Contractor Logistic Support. The GDT is part of the Joint STARS Surveillance and Control Data Link (SCDL). The GDT is used with the Joint STARS Common Ground Station (CGS) or equivalent. An Air Data Terminal (ADT) and one or more GDT are required to establish a two-way communications net between the Joint STARS aircraft and one or more Joint STARS ground stations. The ADT omni-directionally broadcasts KU-band digital Frequency Modulation downlink signals. The GDT acquire the transmitted signals to permit continuous display of Joint STARS sensor information at the ground stations. The ADT also receives KU-band digital uplink signals from the GDT. This system employs anti-jam features and encryption/decryption. Detailed technical data is not available for the GDT and spares. Suppliers capable of furnishing spares and providing the depot logistic support must respond by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW-C-JS, Building 1201E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vender to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can in fact supply the Army with spares that will physically and functionally be interchageable with the spares from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intend by the Army. For more information contact Mr. Mohammad Abbas-Zadeh, 732-532-9866 or Ms. Beverly Donaldson, 732-532-1569. The deadline for this response is October 12, 2001.
