- ASTC Trainers for the E-2C Thin-Pack Parachute Survival Ensemble. In accordance with drawing/part number 3516AS2000-7. Quantity: up to 49 units. Order type firm fixed price. Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to negotiate on an other-than-competitive basis with SEI, Asheville, NC a firm fixed price under BOA Number N68936-00-G-0001 for Thin-Pack Parachute (TPP) systems, components, related assemblies, engineering/logistical support and other services. Anticipate request for proposal released Oct 15, 2001. Anticipate proposal received by Oct 30, 2001. Estimate award by Nov 13, 2001. Delivery required by Mar 30, 2002. Early and partial deliveries are acceptable. SEI is the only source producing Thin-Pack Parachute Systems using the Thin-Pack/Lightweight Environmentally Sealed Parachute Assembly (LESPA) technology and is the only source to produce these trainers without violating existing warranties. Thin-Pack Parachute drawing packages and associated packing, sealing, and closing processes has proprietary markings, making required design and maintenance information not releasable.
