Description

Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment and materials to Upgrade Medical Gas. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, and necessary removal of existing piping. Demo abandoned piping. Connect signal wire to existing MEDAES Integrated Master Alarm panel in Biomed shop in basement. Wire CO monitor to master alarms. Replace undersized piping. Install new oxygen, medical air vacuum piping to new locations. Install access panels in hard ceilings as required in order to access above ceiling locations. Repair all walls, ceiling, etc. to match existing conditions. Add or replace outlets and valves as designated on drawings. There is to be no exposed piping installed in public areas. Add hangers on improperly supported piping. Performance period is 180 calendar days. Magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. NAICS Code is 2333. This solicitation is 100% set aside for HUBZone Small Business Concerns. In the event that an award cannot be made to a HUBZone Small Business Concerns, then the solicitation will become unrestricted. The solicitation package will be available on or about 12 October 2001. Request for bid documents must be submitted in writing or faxed to (915) 264-4887. Telephone requests will not be honored. Plans/Specs will be available for review by HUBZone contractors at the West Texas VA Health Care System, 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, Texas.
