Description

The Department of Transportation (DOT)/Transportation Administrative Service Center (TASC) intends to award a sole source contract to OAG Worldwide of Oakbrook, IL, using FAR Part 12 procedures for commercial items, for airline data information services. DOT requires data on detailed flight information for over 220,000 flights througout North American and up to 600,000 worlwide schedule flights and connections from a database of more than 800 airlines. The data includes both Direct Flight Schedule data and Connecting Flight Schedule data. Among the critical data elements required by DOT are the air carriers' FLIGHT NUMBER(s), the time, for each flight segment, of scheduled departure from the departure airport and the time of scheduled arrival at the arrival airport, the days the flight operates, the city airport identifier, the airline code, the class of service code, the type of aircraft code, the number of intermediate stops code, and other related data. OAG Worldwide is the only known source able to provide the required data. This notice is not a request of offers from other sources. See Note 22.
