Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, Dallas, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of providing Comprehensive Medical Services for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), La Tuna, in Anthony, Texas and the Federal Satellite Low (FSL) in El Paso, Texas. Services to be provided include inpatient/outpatient facility services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. Services shall be provided within a 50-mile radius of the FCI/FSL. The contract type is a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/requirements contract. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities are as follows: Base Year -- 130 inpatient days, 330 outpatient visits; Option Year 1 -- 135 inpatient days, 335 outpatient visits; Option Year 2 -- 140 inpatient days, 340 outpatient visits; Option Year 3 -- 140 inpatient days, 345 outpatient visits; Option Year 4 -- 145 inpatient days, 350 outpatient visits. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 13, 2001, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
