Description

The Immigration & Naturalization Service intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Zarc International, Inc., Bethesda, Maryland, under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The award will be made for non-lethal weapon items including oleoresin capsicum spray and training spray that meet Immigration and Naturalization Service requirements. The authority for this proposed contract action is FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority cited above. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 5:00 p.m. on September 27, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
