Description

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) of Little Rock, AR intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Becton Dickinson Biosciences of San Joes, CA for monoclonal antibody reagents. The purchase of the reagents includes the provision of the software and equipment needed to automate the Flow Cytometer at no additional charge. The equipment and software upgrade are the only products that will meet CAVHS needs, as it must interface with existing proprietary government-owned equipment. BDB will also provide service and maintenance of the equipment and on-site installation and training. This commercial item procurement is being conducted under FAR 13. The period of performance for this requirement will consist of one base year starting on or about Oct 15, 2001 through Sept 30, 2002 with 2 one-year option periods. The NAICS Code is 334516 and CBD Note 22 applies to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
