Description: Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for an HD-6000 cavity degausser of Data Security Inc, 729 Q Street, Lincoln NE 68508. This equipment satisfies DOD 5200.28-M for purging magnetic disk media up to 3,000 Oersteds. The equipment will be provided to United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), J6312, Offutt AFB, NE. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on the fact that this equipment is considered proprietary to Data Security Inc.
