Description

Notice of Intent to award a sole-source commercial acquisition for software to Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc., 380 New York Street, Redlands, CA 92373-8100. ESRI holds proprietary data rights to the software for these systems. All software must be interchangeable and compatible with existing hardware and existing ESRI GIS software, Sun Solaris and Windows 2000 PC-based computer resources. Software from another source will not integrate into the infrastructure and may threaten integrity of th e current systems communications. Pursuant to form, fit and function, and FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) (A), in order to compete this acquisition, it would require substantial duplication of cost to the Government that would not be expected to be recovered through a competitive acquisition. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), AZ has a requirement for (1)86442 1 ea, ARESDE, SEVR, 2PROC, ORACLE; AreSDE Server with Processor for Oracle (includes License for One Server and up to 2 Processors and five Read & Write Connection Licenses). (2) 52382 2 ea, LIC, ARCINFO, PL. ARC/INFO Floating License. (3) 86181 1 each, AG GA 82 CU. AreG7S Geostatistical Analyst, 8.1 concurrent use package with a book, install card, and marketing pack. (4) 83974 1 ea, ORACLE8i, ST D, ED SW, NAMES USBs. (5) 83977 1 ea, ORACLE8i, PROD, SUPPT which includes 24x7 global toll-free routing telephone support and 24x7 access to WE9 support, product upgrades, transfer rights, product maintenance releases, and access to electronic services fo r self-help, reference, and information via Oraclemetalink. Annual software support and update services. (6) 83978 ORACLE8i, MEDPK. ORACLE8i, MEDIA PAK and (7) Shipping Charges. This acquisition is in support of the USAYPG Electronics Branch. The supplies are considered commercial in nature and award will be based on acquisition of commercial items under FAR Part 12. Small business size standard is SIC 5045/NAICS 421430 (100 employees or less).
