Description

Correction: This action oiriginally publicized in the CBD dated 9/17/01 and 09/20/01, Proposed solicitation number: DAO -- 011/FCE/R/2001 -- Loco Rehab and Maintenance. Description of work (revised): A development project financed by [USAID] and operating in Madagascar is seeking proposals relating to the rehabilitation and maintenance of railroad equipment. Proposals will address the rehabilitation and maintenance of one to three diesel-electric locomotives, type Alsthom AD-12-B. Acquisition and transport (to Madagascar) of parts necessary for the above activities. Guaranteed maintenance for a period of at least one full year after the completion of rehabilitation work and training of local agents will be required. The expected period of performance is from October 15, 2001 -- November 1, 2002.
