Description

This modification changes the original specification for RIPRAP material to the following requirements: The required stone shall be 9" or 12" minus of sound basalt, free of cracks, resistant to water and weathering. Stones shall be a minimum of 0.5 cubic foot; 75 percent shall be 1.0 cubic foot or larger. Prior to bid closure, the Government reserves the right to make one (1) site visit to the quarry of potential bidders to visually inspect a sample for evidence that it will meet the intent of the specification. CLOSING DATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED AND ARE DUE BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS, SEPTEMBER 26, 2001 to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Attention: Procurement, P.O. Box 52, Hawaii National Park, HI 96718.
