Description

This project consists of the whole-house renovation of 66 Historic Houses. The Historic Houses consist of 1-Type 1 (GOQ), 7-Type 2-3 (GOQ), 8-Type 3 (Officer) and 50-Type 14-16 (NCO). The renovation will update these houses to "Whole House" standards, which include but not limited to the following: Insulation, Repair driveways and sidewalks, Repair slate roofing system, window replacement, kitchen cabinets and countertops, plaster, appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and the removal and disposal of asbestos/lead paint. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $10,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00. The project duration is 880 days. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 233320 applies to this procurement. THERE WILL BE A PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE ON 24 OCTOBER 2001 IN THE 1CES CONFERENCE ROOM, LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, VA. CONTRACTORS ARE TO SUBMIT THEIR NAME AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO DEBBIE GRAY AT debora.s.gray@usace.army.mil NO LATER THAN 19 OCTOBER 2001. CONTRACTORS ARE TO MEET AT THE LANGLEY SPPEDWAY AT 9:00 AM TO BOARD A BUS WHICH WILL TAKE THEM TO THE CONFERENCE SITE. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed format.
