Description

The United States Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), has a requirement to re-coat and vacuum impregnate insulate twelve (12) Westinghouse Shunt Air-Core Reactors. The contractor will be required to furnish all parts, materials and labor to re-coat and vacuum impregnate insulate (life extension process) twelve (12) Westinghouse Shunt Air-Core reactors, Type Dry-MTL, 80 degree C Rise, 8290 kVA output, rated voltage 13.2/22.9kV, 1 phase, 60 cycle, 21.01 ohms, 150 BIL, weight 12,850. All work under this contract shall be completed within 180 calendar days, after the date of receipt of notice of award of contract. This project is not set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 7694, the NIACS code is 335312 and the size standard is 750 employees. The Solicitation will be issued on or about October 10, 2001. Bid Opening date is anticipated to be November 9,2001 at 2:00 p.m. Service Contract Act applies for this project. No site-visit will be conducted.
