Description

Background "This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number is F33601-01-T-0567. This solicitation and incorporated clauses/provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11 and DFARS Change Notice 19990416. The solicitation incorporates by reference the following clauses: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. NAIC C ode: 541519. This is a sole source requirement IAW 6.302-1 to BAE Systems, San Diego CA 92150. NAIC requires the renewal of maintenance support on SOCET SET software. This RFQ has the following line item(s): Line Item 0001 -- Renewal of Maintenance Support on SOCET SET. Line Item 0002 -- Renewal of maintenance support on Data ThruWay Software. Line Item 0003 -- Renewal of maintenance support on RapidScene software. The Period of Performance is 01 Oct 2001 through 30 Sep 2002. FOB Destination. The Ship to Address is: NAIC/DXHO, Attn: Charles May, 4180 Watson Way, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-5648. Proposals shall be received at ASC/PKWIE, Attn: David Fortson, 1940 Allbrook Dr, Suite 3, Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433-5309, or by facsimile at (937) 257-6390 by 1 Oct 01. Anticipated award date is 10 Oct 01. Mr. Michael Higgins has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. Existence of the Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the Contracting officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process and, therefore, for routine matters on individual solicitations, please contact the buyer at the telephone number listed herein.
