Description

The Government intends to issue a Sole Source under the authority of FAR 3.501(a)(ii) to NAC Image Technology, a small business located at 2245 First St., Unit 108, Simi Valley CA 93065 for two Complete Memrecam FX-4000, High Speed Video System to be deliv ered to BUILDING 2-1728, ROOM 230, ARMISTEAD & WOODRUFF ST., FORT BRAGG, NC 28307-5000. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information inclu ded in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation serves as the Request for Quotation. This solicitation is a small business set aside with SIC 5043. Provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial and FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Price will be used to evaluate the offers. The offers need to include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items with this offer (registered in the Central Contractor Registration, DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax ID number). The statement at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offers due by 1400 hrs. CST, 28 Sept 2001. The Government requires that the High Speed V ideo System include a full frame resolution up to 4000 pps, split frame 10,000 pps, resolution up to 512x512 pixels, selectable frame rates of (at a minimum) 100, 250, 500, 1000, 3000 and 4000 pps and split screen frame rates of 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 900 0, and 10,000 pps. Must have a record time of (at a minimum) 4 seconds at 4000 pps. System must include a high resolution CCD sensor for high-speed event capture. Components include: Carrying case, hand held controller, mating connector for trigger inpu t, control & capture software, operational manual, power supply with AD plug, video converter, tripod, mini geared head with quick release and a zoom lens (12.5mm-75mm F1.8). System must have Bit Density of 8 bits, one hour memory backup in case of power failure. The Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Governmen t. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.*****
