- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement Constitutes the only solicitation. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ); a written solicitation will not be issued. The Food and Drug is soliciting for a GeneMachines or equal, systems description as follows: (1) OmniGrid microarrayer system with the minimum requirements: 1. Must be able to print 30,000 spots/slide onto 100 slides in 10 hours (using 48 pins). 2. Print head must support up to 48 pins. 3. Must have 100 slide capacity. 4. Must have 74 sample plate capacity. 5. Must have server arm for unattended run times of up to 14 hr. 6. Must have automated plate de-lidding function. 7. Must have +/-2.5 micron positional accuracy (resolution and error limit) to ensure spot consistency. 8. Must have industrial grade motors and components. 9. Must have modular design for easy service access and future upgrade additions. 10. Must be able to use up to 20 microplate brands. 11. Must be able to support multiple pin manufactures. 12. Must be completely enclosed for humidity/desiccant control and have HEPA filtration built into the system to minimize sample evaporation and dust contamination. 13. Must be capable of removing humidity from the enclosed environment. 14. Must have software for sample tracking compatible with Axon, GSI-Luminomics (Packard) and other microarray scanners. 15. Software must allow random access of samples. 16. Software must allow protocol and array design flexibility using Graphic User Interface. 17. Software must allow control of Z-axis acceleration rate. 18. Must have 3 levels of security access to software. 19. Must provide lifetime support by in-house biology staff and microarray team. 20.Must be able to control array placement on slide. 21. Must be able to control size and shape of arrays, and samples per array. 22. Must allow control of printing operation including sample blotting feature, test print feature, customizable Z-axis printing speed, and pause and restart control for print runs. 23. Must allow total flexibility to create printing pin cleaning procedure including customizable combination of sonication, water fluid was with peristaltic pump, and vacuum dry. fob Destination within 60 days after award of a purchase order. Interested offeror?s shall submit descriptive literature along with their cost quotation. Offerors who are offering other than the GeneMachines system shall submit descriptive literature in sufficient detail as to demonstrate that the system offered meets or exceeds the GeneMachiines specifications. Award will be made to the vendor who submits the lowest price system that meets all technical specifications. The Government may make its decision on the basis of initial quotations received and not have discussions. Therefore each initial quotation should contain the offeror?s best terms from both a price and technical standpoint. This Request for Quotation number R-1011-00-1.
