Description

LEASING OF VEHICLES FOR ANDREWS AFB, 89TH TRANSPORTATION SQUADRON. Solicitation FA4416-01-T-0282, DUE 26 September 20 01, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Point of Contact: Capt Ingram, Contracting Officer, 301/981-2301. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamline Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information incl uded in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will n ot be issued. Solicitation Number FA4416-01-T-0282 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and De fense Acquisition Circular 91-13. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 7515 and the business size standard is $18.5M. FAR 52.216-1 applies. The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed price supply contract resulting from this solicit ation. Contract Line Items (CLIN) 0001: Quantity -- 12 months, item description: lease four (4) class III Chrysler LHS or equal sedans including maintenance for use by executive driver's section for Distinguished Visitor support. CLIN 0002: Quantity ? 12 months, Item Description -- one (1) class II Chrysler Sebring or equal sedan including maintenance for 89th Wing Comman der support. Specifications include: Sebring, 2001 model or replacement 2002 model, black or blue exterior, 4-doors, tinte d windows, rear leg room (41 inches min), rear head room (37 inches min), trunk size (16 cu ft min), an ability to install m obile phone. Estimated mileage 12,000 miles per year. Vehicles will need to be in place by 1 Oct 2001. The government is contemplating a contract for a base period of 12 months and one option year period. BASIC PERIOD: 2001 Oct 01 ? 2002 Sep 30 . OPTION PERIOD I: 2002 Oct 01 ? 2003 Sep 30. Please submit quote for brand name or equal. In the event unit price(s) and extended price(s) are ambiguous, the governm ent shall use the indicated unit price(s) for evaluation and award purposes. Final product to be delivered FOB Destination to: 89th Transportation Squadron, 3320 PENN AVE, Andrews AFB, MD 20762-6500 by 01 Oct 01. Acceptance shall be made at destination. Provisions with addendum. (A) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies. (B) The p rovision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items applies. Addendum to Paragraph (a), The Government intends to make a s ingle award to the responsible contractor whose quote is in conformance with the specifications, in full compliance to all o ther requirements set forth in the solicitation, who offers the best value in which offeror's performance will be evaluated on a basis significantly more important than price. The Government reserves the right to judge which quote shows the requi red capability and to eliminate from further consideration those quotes which are considered unacceptable and not capable of being made acceptable without major rewrite or revision.
