- This notice corrects the delivery dates and provides answers to questions on Solicitation N31980-01-R-2317. Delivery Schedule: Items to be received at destination on the following dates: USNS NIAGARA FALLS, 20 November 2001, USNS SAN JOSE, 07 January 2002, USNS CONCORD, 07 January 2002. Answers to clarification questions follows: Question 1:We are using an interface capable of performing a Loop Start or Ground Start Analog Trunk (Non E&M) function to interface with the 1 MC paging system. We would like to verify that this is acceptable. If not, please describe the interface. Answer 1: PBX shall be capable of interfacing with the 1MC. Question 2: Item m., "Executive override", could be interpreted as any number of things. Can we get a specific description of this functionality. Answer 2: Master, Chief Engineer and others to be capable of overriding program function at anytime, from any location. Question 3: To our knowledge in order to interface with the INMARSAT B system, we must provide standard LS/GS analog public trunks. Is this true? Answer 3: INMARSAT B is a satellite telephone system. Question 4: Bid request does not indicate that digital trunks must be included in the offer. Is this true? Answer 4: True. 8 Analog lines were requested. Question 5: Direct Inward Dialing (DID) from the public network does not appear on the Bid request. Is this item not needed? Answer 5: Yes, it is not needed. Question 6: We are provisioning for a total of 408 Analog Station connections in our offer. It is not clear whether we are to provide any analog terminals. The bid request says 165 analog stations, but it is not clear whether these are already present on the ship or need to be provided. Please clarify. Answer 6: Request is to have capability for 165 Analog stations connections only with provisions for 400. Installation shall utilize existing phones and lines. CLOSING DATE REMAINS UNCHANGED.
