Description

DESC: 1005-01-441-3114, Part Number 12524170, the item to procure is a Stop, Gun, Automatic. Requirements are for quantity 294 Stop, Gun, Automatic, for use on the M242 25mm gun. Past performance and price will be used as evaluation factors for this soli citation. The components are machined from 4340 alloy steel bar. The approximate size is 2.09 inches in length x 1.00 inches in diameter and heat-treating and magnetic particle inspection are involved. FOB is Destination. The proposed contract will incl ude a 100% option. Proposed contract is a 100% small business set-aside. This solicitation requires an initial product inspection (IPI) in lieu of a First Article Test (FAT) and also incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposals are instructed to request a TDP by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if a vailable), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. Estimated issue date is 15 OCT 01. This solici tation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mai ling list.
