Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to contract for=20 armed and unarmed guard services at various buildings at the SSA main complex in Baltimore (Woodlawn), MD. This notices serves as a Sources Sought Synopsis seeking information from small business concerns, in all stages of development, which may be capable of providing these services. Information received from other than small business sources will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 7381. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $9.0 million. Based on historical data, SSA believes that the level of effort to perform these services will be approximately 170 people. Interested small business concerns that believe they have the ability to perform these services can identify their capability to Stephen Slaughter, Contracting Officer, via regular mail at SSA, Attn: Stephen Slaughter, OAG Contracting Officer, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21207.=20 Responses must include a capability statement, management chart and breakdown of the company and a statement of financial resources which clearly and decisively indicate that the company can perform these services successfully. The company shall also provide the name, address and telephone number of any and all references where services of similar size, scope and complexity are currently being provided or where they have been provided within the last 5 years. Responses must be received by no later than 3:00 p.m., local prevailing time on Friday, October 5, 2001. This is neither a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not any small business firms have the ability and capability to perform these services successfully. =20
