Description

Lackland AFB intends to solicit and award a commercial purchase order to Verizon Wireless Messaging Service for the Lease of Pagers, and Service Agreement for twelve (12) months Air Time. A description of the pagers and service are as follows: 525 EA are statewide, numeric pagers; 115 EA are nationwide, numeric pagers; 8 EA statewide, alphanumeric pages; and 25 EA nationwide, alphanumeric pagers. The request accommodates replacement pagers for each category?14 EA numeric pagers, 2 EA statewide alphanumeric pagers, and 3 EA nationwide, alphanumeric pagers. The period of performance shall be 01 Oct 01 through 30 Sep 02. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within 5 calendar days after the publication date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement will be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). All responses to this notice must be received by this office within 5 business days of the date of publication of this synopsis.
