Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #0017684. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-27. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), and 100% small business set- a side. The NAICS code is 421490, Business size is 100 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract. The Government intends to purchase (2 each) Spex CrimeScope # CS-16-400. Requirement: The CrimeScope CS-16-400 continuously tunable forensic light source system with 22 wavelengths. 400w metal halide source, 10mm light guide, 15 excitation filters mounted on an automated wheel filter wheel with fine tuning capability, IR port, 4 infrared filters on a fiber optic bundle, rugged portable main unit with fold down handle and front control panel with 2 digital displays. Total spectral range 300 to 900nm. System include:1) Automated 15 position filter wheel controlled with up-down push buttons on front panel with continuous wavelength fine tune knob. 2). 15 filters mounted wheel: UV365,415,445, 455, 475, 495, CSS, 515, 535, 555, 575, 600, 635, 670 and white light. 3) UV- (300-380nm with the UV365 filter. 4) 10mm diameter 2 meter long liquid light guide for UV visible light. 5). Manual 12 position filter wheel with available positions for custom filters field upgradeable. 6). 2 high power edge filters: shortpass-VIS 520nm, bandpass-VIS: 575nm, 7). Infrared output, ideal for forged documents, ink-ink differentiation, light guide and 4 filters for port on side of instrument, port is LP500, filter include LP630, LP715, LP780, LP830. 8). set of five "goggles", (1) UV protective, (1) yellow, (2) orange and (1) red. 9). set of three 62mm diameter camera filters with ring adapters; (2) orange longpass, (1) red longpass. 10). Remote heavy duty flexible arm to hold liquid light guide with 2 special superclamps, compatible with camera tripods, table top or table legs. Allows for photography and two handed manipulation of evidence. 11) Rugged and user friendly case with build in wheels, lateral handle and pull out handle, case is useful for carrying, shipping or storing the CS-16. 12) carrying case for accessories. 13) Manual on care and use of unit, covering all applications. 14) Remote wavelength selector at integrated into working end of light guide. Allows user continuous wavelength selection using the same hand holding the light guide, freeing the other hand to dust or collect evidence. A Standard Commercial warranty is required.
