- Description
- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; proposals are requested based on this notice. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation is issued as Request for Proposal number 222-01-2013(P). The requirement is submitted as a sole source for the purchase of a Dephy Technologies Mass Spectrometer Pattern Recognition System. The mass spectrometer provides a unique form of ionization, Metastable Atom Bombardment or MAB, optimal for accurate bacterial identification by pyrolysis mass spectrometry techniques. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26, dated MAY 16 2001. REQUIREMENT: Quantity 1 each Dephy Technologies Mass Spectrometer Pattern Recognition System (Bacteria Mass Analyzer): PY-MAB-TOF, to include: Item 1, Quantity 1, Part No. MTOF0100, MAB-TOF mass spectrometer, including: TOF mass analyzer, Mass range 2-3000 Daltons, Resolution: better than 1000 at m/z 614, Acquisition speed 50 KHz, Triple detectors (TDC and DSP), Dynamic range better than 10 E5, Vacuum system includes dual 2601/sec turbo pumps, MAB ionization source ready for 5 gases, Electronic gas controllers, Heated reservoir and heated transfer line, Item 2, Quantity 1, Part No. MTOF0101, Data acquisition system including: Pentium 4 computer with 19 inch Hi-res CRT CDRW, DVD, Laser, printer, hi-res color printer, MAB-TOF control software, Real time data acquisition software and instrument interface, Item 3, Quantity 1, Part No. TICSTRIP01, TIC Strip noise reduction software for mass spectrometer network version, Item 4, Quantity 1, Part No. PYR0010, Complete pyroprobe system including: Ribbon and quartz tube probe, Electronic controller for computer or independent control, Electronic gas control, Item 5, Quantity 1, Part No. AUTO1010, Automatic probe injector system including: Multi sample holder, Computer control interface, Item 6, Quantity 1, Part No. special, Factory training for 2 people including: Transport and lodging with meals, Tutorials and training materials, 1 week duration, and Item 7, Quantity 1, Part No. BACT0300, BACTIDENT: bacterial library search software, Compatible with MAB-TOF, Maldi-TOF data files. To be delivered FOB Destination within 45-90 days after award of a purchase order. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition: FAR provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (OCT 2000). Offerors must include with their proposal a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (MAY 2001). The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: FAR clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (MAY 2001) and FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (MAY 2001).
