Description
(i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number DDP-1-10063 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. (iv) This is a 100% small business set aside and the NAICS code is 334519 (v) The contract line item is: an electronic detection chair and the quantity is 18 each. (vi) The product that the INS is seeking needs to be able to conduct a thorough scan of the body cavity while in the seated position and must have foot and lower abdominal sensors. The seated position shall allow security personnel to scan all persons thoroughly to include the handicapped. This product shall be mobile which will allow it to be moved around a facility. (vii) Within 10 days after contract award, delivery will be made to 9 different INS installations FOB destination. The proposal will be considered non-responsive if all requirements are not met. (ix) FAR 52.212-2, "Evaluation-Commercial Items", is incorporated by reference. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Low-Cost technically acceptable. (x) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, "Offeror, Representations and Certification-Commercial Items", with their proposal. (xi) FAR 52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items", is incorporated by reference. (xii) FAR 52.212-5, "Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items", is incorporated by reference.
