- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) F19650-01-Q-0045. This document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through FAC 97-27 dated 25 June 2001. The NAICS 335911 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. The requirement is as follows: Line Item No. 0001, 1 EA, Furnish and install a new 10KVA/8KW, input voltage 208 volts AC/single phase by LTI Power Systems (Equal or Better); output voltage 120 volt AC Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Flooded Cell Battery Plant. Battery plant to include racks, hardware and cables. The contractor shall provide warranty information. The contractor shall be responsible for the start-up and testing of the UPS and Battery Plant. The contractor shall perform all necessary setup, calibration and training required for proper operation of the equipment. The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing UPS system/related wiring and 60 Cell Flooded Battery Plant entirely. The contractor shall be responsible for all hazard material removal and disposal licenses that are required for the disposal of the equipment and parts. All removed material shall be disposed of in accordance with Local, state and Federal Codes. The contractor shall follow the written manufacturer's instructions and procedures for all products and equipment. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to disapprove a product submitted as equal or better based on quality, composition and application comparison. All products and equipment shall comply with the Government's "Buy American Act" provisions. The Central Heat Plant Bldg is located at Bldg #1201 at Hanscom AFB, MA. The contractor shall have a supervisor on site at all times during installation. The work shall be performed Monday through Friday, 7:30AM through 4:30PM. The contractor shall be responsible for daily clean-up of the work site. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a work site compliant with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations. The contractor shall be responsible for the safe conduct of all craftsmen, laborers and subcontractors. FOB Destination. The following provisions and clauses apply to this procurement: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (the evaluation criteria is Past Performance and Price); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (all offerors shall include a completed copy of this provision with their quotation); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items (in Paragraph (b) the following clauses apply: FAR 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-37 and 52.225-9); FAR 52.204-6, Contractor Identification Number-Date Universal Numbering Systems (DUNS) Number; FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration; DFARS 252.212-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program.
