- Description
- DESCRIPTION: The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego (SSC SD) intends to procure engineering and technical resources to develop new interface and display requirements for the Navigation Sensor Systems Interface (NAVSSI). The contractor shall be assigned tasks which address development of new interface and display requirements, in addition to meeting new functional requirements with entirely new NAVSSI system configuration. Tasking may also include system updates in response to fleet generated trouble reports. In the Execution of tasking solutions may include hardware, software and firmware solutions to assigned problems. An Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract with a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) pricing arrangement is anticipated. The period of performance will be a one-year base period and four one-year option period. The total estimated hours are 18,525 per year. The contractor is required to have a facility within 1 hour driving time of SPAWARSYSTEN, SD, CA. Work under the contract to be subject to satisfactory negotiation of individual delivery orders. This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. If a large business is selected for this contract, it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan for that part of work it plans to subcontract. Contractors will be required to submit both a cost and technical proposal as required in Section L of the solicitation. Proposal must be valid for a period of 120 days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered against the criteria set forth in the solicitation. The RFP will be available on or about 20 Oct 2001. The applicable NAICS is 334511. NO HARD COPIES OF THE RFP WILL BE AVAILABLE.
