Description
Brooklyn Job Corps Academy is a federally funded facility for disadvantage youth between the ages of 16 and 24. This program operates year round with approximately 210 trainees for the Department of Labor by ResCare. Brooklyn Job corps is soliciting bids for the provision of pest control services. Scope of Work: 1. Weekly services of kitchen and dining areas. 2. Bi-weekly services of exterior grounds for rats. 3. Monthly services of all storage areas, Culinary Arts Classroonm, requested areas in the Medical Unit, Administrative Offices and area Classrooms. 4. Apply Intergrated Pest Management Services (IPM), which will eventually lead to the Academy being pest free. Provision of services shall be administered is such a way that the vendor warranties the pesticides and or materials being utilized will accomplish results in treated areas. vendor of award should provide a monthly report outlining any areas customer (Brooklyn JCA) is out of compliance with sanitation practices and or make reccommendations to climate pest conducive conditions which may exist. Term of Agreement: This agreement shall be in effect fo a 24 month period commencing on the first day of the month following award. Successive renewals of this contract may be made subsequent to annual solicitation of services following the first 2 years. Additional work may be requested from time to time, which shall be authorized by written change to the resultant agreement. Safety nd Health: All work shall be accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to the operation of the academy. The subcontract represents by acceptance of any resultant agreement that they are in compliance with all regulations and standards flowing from the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (P.O. 91-596, 29 USC 651 et seq) and further that in the event hazardous materials are involved, will comply with the Federal Standards No. 310 dated July 1971 to the latest change, entitled "Symbols for Packages and Containers for Hazardous Chemicals and Materials." Vendor acknowledges that by acceptance of any resultant agreement, that all pest and rodent control applications meet Federal, State, Local and OSHA regulations. vendor shall require to submit Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all products being proposed for use under the resultant agreement. Proposal Submission: Proposals should be submitted with the following breakdowns: 1. Interior areas identified above for service onece a month. 2. Weekly service of kitchen and dinind area. 3. Bi-weekly service for exterior grounds rodent control. 4. Total minimum for monthly maintenance service rate. 5. Total minimum for annual maintenance service rate.
