- Description
- Brooklyn Job Corps Academy is a federally funded facility for disadvantage youth between the ages of 16 and 24. This program operates year round with approximately 210 trainees for the Department of Labor by ResCare. Scope of Work: Regularly and systematically visually examine, adjust, lubricate and conduct company safety test. When in judgement, condition warrant, repair orreplace the following: Rollers, gibs, brake linings, slip-rings, limit switches, brushes, resistance and grids, contacts, shunts, springs, fuses, insulators, relays, braids, governor cable, Interpol, operator motors, operator belts, close limit, arc deflectors, carbons, coppers, guide rollers,replaceable shoe gibs and cleaning car tops and pits. Furnish lubricants of special grade compounded for elevator specifications. Comply with written violations from the local code enforcing agency and reccomendations of insurance carrier on due notice of the owner for repairs covered. Respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no extra charge. Response time should be within (2) hours.
