- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items identified below, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, offers are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This solicitation number, 603-16-02, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and incorporates provision and clauses that are in effect through FAC 97-27. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 334516, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Government intends to purchase (Name Brand or Equal to)the following system: LUMINEX 100 Total SYstem to include; Luminex 100 (a compact lab analys system that integrates lasers, optics, fluidics, a controller and advanced digital signal processing in a 17 X 20 footprint; software and pc w/monitor, Luminex XY Platform,Sheath Delivery System. 2) Luminex Start-up Kit to include Development microspheres #L100-CDEV1-01-NC; CL1/CL2 Calibration Microspheres #L100-CAL1-NC; RP1 Calibration Microspheres #L100-CAL2-NC; Multi-Analyte microspheres w/carboxylated surface, region 134, 1ml #L100-C134-01-NC; Multi-analyte microspheres w/carboxylated surgace, region 138, 1ml #L100-C138-001-NC; Multi-analyte microspheres, w/carboxylated surface, region 173, 1ml #L100-C173-01-NC; multi-analyte mcirospheres, w/carboxylated surface, region 177, 1ml #L!00=C177-01-NC; and Sheath Fluid #40-50000. 4)two (2) day training session for one (1) VA individual. The following are the general minimum requirements for the above item: Operating environment of 15C to 30C; relative humidity of 10% -- 90%, non condensing; 532 nm, 10mW; 633 nm, 10mW Lasers: Suto-sensing -- 100-240 VAC, 47-63 Hz Power requirement; Fluidics 20 to 200 ul sample volume; integral pneumatic Z axis and variable injection rate syringe pump. Pricing shall include shipping, handling, taxes, etc. Delivery is to be FOB destination with inside delivery to the VA Medical Center, Research Department, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206-1499 (room # to be decided after award). The following FAR clauses, provisions and addendums, are incorporated in this solicitation; 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors Commercial Item: 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certification Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items: 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items; In paragraph (b) of 52.212-5, the following apply -- 52.203-6, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-37, 52.225-3, 52.225-13, 52.232-34 and 52.222-70. COMPLIANCE WITH VETERANS EMPLOYMENT REPORTING REQUIREMENTS (VETS 100). All offers must include completed copies of 52.212-3 Representation and Certifications. Faxed quotations are acceptable to attention Vicky Caudill at (502)894-6115. All responses will be evaluated in order to determine the ability to meet the above stated capabilities. Responses shall include literature, brochures and other such information corresponding to the required item (name brand or equal). Offeror shall identify where the proposed item meets or does not meet each of the Governments minimum requirements. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive/responsible offeror whose offeror, confirming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government. The anticipated award date is September 28, 2001. All quotes must be received in this office no later than September 26, 2001 3:30PM local (eastern) time.
