Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number F05611-01-T-0321 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. (iv) This RFQ is being issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 334310 and small business size standard is 750. Women-owned, small disadvantaged, HUBZone and Veteran-owned businesses are encouraged to submit quotes. (v) Line Item 0001: Quantity/Unit ? 1 LO; Unit Price -- $___________; Total Amount -- $__________ (vi) The purpose of this requirement is to replace the current communication system at the Center for Education Multimedia (CEMM) or Planetarium. The current system has component parts that are 15 years to 30 years old. Description of Requirement: The contractor is to provide all labor, tools, materials, including installation, training and associated costs, travel and lodging costs, for this communication system. The system will consist of a number of component parts, to include Cassette/CD player, wireless microphone, sound mixer, sound web with RS-232 computer control, audio/video switcher with scalar, new amplifiers and speakers for surround-sound capability, subwoofers, IR remote control, AC power conditioning, wiring, wiring harnesses, speaker cables, plugs, and patch bays. (vii) Delivery Requirements: FOB ? Destination; Delivery/Performance Dates ? November 26-30, 2001; Place of performance ? USAF Academy Planetarium; Place of Acceptance ? USAF Academy Planetarium (viii) FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors?Commercial Items (Oct 2000) is applicable to this RFQ. (ix) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items is applicable to this RFQ. The evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of this provision is ?The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and Price? (x) Quoters shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items, with its quotation. (xi) FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items applies to this RFQ. There are no addenda. (xii) FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders?Commercial Items, applies to this RFQ. The following additional FAR clauses are applicable: DFARS: 252-204-7004(MAR 1890)-Required Central Contractor Registration, 52.228-5 Insurance ?Work on Government Installation, 53.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer; 52.237-2 Protection of Government Buildings, Equipment and Vegetation.
