Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This a Request for Proposal (RFP), reference number ACB-01-R-0023. The RFP document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-27. This RFP is for Tactical Fore End Lights for Remington 870 Shotgun and Colt M4A1 Carbine. This is a 100% set-aside for Small Business under NAIC 332994. Contract type to be Fixed-Price. A single award will be made as a result of this solicitation. CLIN 0001 -- Fore end, Remington 12 gauge 870 shotgun, with integral light, 125 lumen with 1 hour run time, and integral pressure sensitive switch. Quantity of 500 each. CLIN 0002 -- Fore end, Colt M4A1 .223 Carbine, with integral tactical light, 125 lumen with 1 hour run time, and integral pressure sensitive switch. Quantity 100 each. Delivery time is 60 calendar days. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, applies to this RFP. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies to this RFP. Evaluation factors are: (1) Price and (2) Past Performance which are equally important. All proposals submitted must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this RFP and in (b) the following items are checked: (1) 52.203-6, (3) 52.219-4, (5) 52.219-8, (6) 52.219-9, (8ii) 52.219-23 Alt 1, (9) 52.219-25, (11) 52.222-21, (12) 52.222-26, (13) 52.222-35, (14) 52.222-36, (15) 52.222-37, (17) 52.225-9, (23) 52.232-34, and (26) 52.247-64. Offers are due on 9/21/01, at 4:00 PM EST and should be sent to address above. Proposals FAXED to 802-951-6455 are acceptable. Vendors should provide their proposal on company letterhead or a SF 1449, completed representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3, product literature, and at least two references showing past performance on deliveries of similar scope.
