Description

THIS NOTICE IS BEING SYNOPSIZED TO SATISFY FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION PART 5 REQUIREMENTS. A FIRM FIXED PRICE CON TRACT WILL BE SOLICITED TO REFURBISH FLOORS, NORTH AND SOUTH FITNESS CENTERS, BLDGS 825 & 384, SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, TX. The work to be performed under this contract is as follows: At Building 825 (North Fitness Center) -- Main Gym Floor -- The work shall consist of cleaning and applying sealants to the e xisting hardwood floor. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment to utilize the BASIC COATINGS, INC. DUST LESS REFINISHING SYSTEM. The contractor shall machine scrub the existing gym floor with INTENSIVE FLOOR TREATMENT (ITF), the n machine scrub rinse with water, and machine scrub with SQUEAKY CLEANER. Apply one coat of TYCOTE FINISH BINDER and one coa t of STREET SHOE GLOSS FINISH. Racquetball Court Floors (6 each) -- The work shall consist of providing all materials, labo r and equipment to sand and edge with course, medium, fine, and extra fine sandpaper, then vacuum the entire floor area of e ach court. Lay out current regulations, tape and apply 2 coats of High Gloss Waterborne Enamel for game lines. Apply 2 coats of BASIC COATINGS INC. COMMERCIAL CATALYZED SEALER, and 2 coats of BASIC COATINGS, INC. STREE SHOE GLOSS FINISH (MFMA). At Building 384 (South Fitness Center) -- Main Gym Floor, Aerobics Room Floor, and Racquetball Court Floors (4 each) -- The wo rk shall consist of providing all materials, labor and equipment to sand and edge with course, medium, fine, and extra fine sandpaper, then vacuum the entire floor areas. Lay out current regulations, tape and apply 2 coats of High Gloss Waterborne Enamel for game lines. Apply 2 coats of BASIC COATINGS, INC. COMMERCIAL CATALYZED SEALER, and 2 coats of BASIC COATINGS, INC . STREE SHOE GLOSS FINISH (MFMA). All the above work shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified, careful, and efficient mechanics skilled in the trade. The work shall be in strict accordance with the contract documents and standards of the industry. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of (2) individuals who are trained and certified to apply the Basic Coatings, Inc. refin ishing system and specified products. Written certification for each applicator shall be submitted to the contracting office r prior to starting work. PROJECT MAGNITUDE IS BETWEEN $25,000 AND $100,000 AND IS BEING ISSUED UNDER FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
