Description

DESC: The Government requires husbanding services for the Islands of Curacao, Netherlands Antilles , Aruba, Dutch Caribbean, and Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles. The services required are for the ports of Willemstad for Curacao, Oranjestad for Aruba, and Kralendijk for Bonaire. The requirement is for coordination and support services for various types of U.S. Navy and other U.S. Government vessels. U.S. Government vessels expected to utilize the resultant contract include Class I (small craft ships with 40 crewmembers or less) up to Class V (aircraft carriers). Services will consists of trash removal, collection/holding/transfer (CHT) sewage removal, waste oil and aggregate water removal, fresh potable water, pilotage, tugboat services, linehandler services, crane services, brow (gangway) rental, cargo drayage/free time/detention services, water taxi services, vehicle rental (sedans and buses), paint float rental, forklift services, telephone services (landline and cellular), administration/coordination of airport services, administration/coordination of passenger handling, and disaster/humanitarian relief services as detailed in the statement of work included in solicitation N00189-01-R-0051. The solicitation will include provisions for a base year with the option to procure services for four additional one-year periods. The solicitation will contain FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services and will be issued as full and open competition. Solicitation issuance is anticipated on 25 September 2001.
