Description

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is the for the drydocking service craft overhaul of the YTT-10. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The NAIC for this solicitation is 336611. The RFP will be issued on or about 09 October 2001. Proposals will be due on or about 01 November 2001. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who do not possess either an ABR or MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates. The work includes, but is not limited to: remove and replace main propulsion shaft, inspect propeller and balance, replace shaft seal, 7 ABS inspections, hull preservation, zinc replacement, replace line cutters on z-drives, install rope guard on main shaft, upgrade P&S z-drives, rebuild bow thruster motor, remove P&S bow thruster PPG blast and paint, upgrade bow thruster controls, RVHS mini overhaul, preservation of anchor and chain, measure chain and paint shots, clean 6 fuel oil tanks, clean and paint potable water tank, upgrade speed log transducer, rebuild saltwater strainers SSDG#1/#3, A/C chill water pump overhaul, install Racor fuel filters, add 5 deck clover leafs, repair wire for task lights on main mast, install Venturi on bridge wings, open and inspect ballast tanks, repair and rebuild traction winches, sea trials, and incidental related work. The scheduled dates of availability are 03 DECEMBER 2001 -- 11 JANUARY 2002. The RFP, when issued, will be available for downloading from the Navy's electronic commerce site www.neco.navy.mil.
