Description

NOTE: THERE IS A SHORT TIME FRAME FOR ISSUANCE, PREPARATION AND AWARD OF THIS SOLICITATION, DUE TO THE URGENCY AND NEED OF THIS REQUIREMENT. An Indefinite-Quantity contract is required for furnishing and delivering closed diet commercial fish food to various fish hatcheries located in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The policies in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with the policies and precedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, will be used for the acquisition of the fish food. This proposed procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 2048, the size standard is 500 employees. Estimated quantities will be shown in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). Actual quantities will be purchased by issuance of delivery orders against the contract. The contract period will be for twelve (12) months. (October 15, 2001, or date of award until September 30, 2002). Issue date for RFQ will be be 9/21/01. RFQ request shall be in writing stating RFQ 401811Q109, complete company name and address. Telephone requests will not be accepted. This notice also serves as the pre-solicitation notice.
