Description

This sources sought announcement is issued for the purpose of identifying sources for six REDCOM Tactical Communications Packages (TCPs) with an option to buy up to fourteen additional units. The REDCOM TCP is a fully integrated communications system designed for use in rugged environments. The TCP uses the REDCOM ISDN Gateway Exchange (IGX) Digital Switching System (Version 5.0) which is integrated with standard commercial interconnects for wired and other interface types. The IGX uses a patented distributed processor architecture to increase reliability and provide low cost upgrades. Signaling conversions and dialing is accomplished using the International Gateway Access Transit Exchange (IGATE) firmware. The TCP supports numerous tactical and commercial interfaces, such as: TRI-TAC(T1 or SF), KY-68, BRI, PRI, DSN-PRI, T1(MF/DTMF), DSN-T1, E1, 2M, Type 36, STU-III, STE, Digital Wireless and Base Radio Station.
