Description

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order modification to Berkeley Nucleonics Corporation of San Rafael, CA for eight portable multi-channel analyzer gamma spectroscopy and neutron detection systems. This purchase is a follow-on to CBD announcement no. 50Q275 and resulting contract 1W-2610-LTNX, in support of nuclear emergency response capabilities of agency's National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory (NAREL) and Radiation and Indoor Environments Laboratory (R&IEL). It is in the Federal Government's interest have the same type of portable detector as a standard to meet the agency's specific requirements. See Note 22.
