Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, The Economist Intelligence Unit, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The ViewsWire briefing reports produced by The Economist Intelligence Unit consist of approximately 150 reports per day covering 195 countries and are the only known source to provide concise and original analysis on economic, financial, political and legal aspects of macroeconomic conditions, trends, risks and prospects required for the operation of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. The period of subscription is from 1 November 2001 through 31 October 2002 . This acquisition is under NAICS 541690. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This is a sole source requirement and if no affirmative written responses are received via United States Postal Service transmittal, that a comparable source is available and offers specific capabilities required to satisfy the needs of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S., a sole source will be negotiated. Responses must be received, in writing, as stated above, within fifteen (15) calendar days of publication of this notice. Interested parties must submit sufficient descriptive literature with their response to prove their capability to respond to the requirements. Responses must be in writing. NO TELEPHONE, E-MAIL OR FAX RESPONSES WILL BE ACCEPTED. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
