Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation notice of intent to obtain a full service maintenance agreement prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is 674-02-08 and the solicitation is being issued as a notice of intent. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 97-23. The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis using simplified acquisition procedures with Lanier Voice Products Division of Austin, TX, to provide complete guaranteed hardware, parts and software maintenance of the Lanier OS-4800 system, one (1) each. This is not a Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this service is 811213 and the small-business size standard is 500. This is a fixed-price contract and the FOB terms are "Destination". The anticipated period of performance will be 10/1/01 9/30/04. It is essential that the same system continue to be used in order to maintain data integrity. Changing system /variables would prevent identical interpretation and cause harm to the agency mission of patient care. FAR 52.225-3, Buy American Act also applies. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions Commercial Items. Offers must be submitted no latter than 4:30 P.M.
