Description

Notice of intent to issue an order on a 'sole source' basis to the Burton Group for a subscription to the Burton Group Network Strategy Service and Network and Telecom Strategy Service License. This action is being performed in accordance with 41U.S.C.253(3)(1) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements; and, FAR Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Burton Group provides in-depth technological analysis of industries specific to Bureau of Land Management. Whereas many analysts firms provide superficial research on overall business topics, the Burton Group is focused on core networking functions such as Physical Networks and Network Application Infrastructures. The in-depth nature of the Network Strategy Service and Networks and Telecom Strategy Services provides invaluable insight into solutions for core issues that Bureau of Land Management must deal with on a daily basis. The Burton Group Network Strategy Service and Networks and Telecom Strategy Services provides objective analysis of network vendor strategies, products, and technologies. The Burton Group is the only Analytical service that specializes in the areas of interest specifically related to directory and security architecture, physical networks to include; Optical, Phone Systems, Quality of Service, Voice Data Convergence and many others assigned to Bureau of Land Management architecture team. This subscription is needed to keep the staff of Bureau of Land Management current on the latest developments in this rapidly evolving area.
