Description
The following is an update to the previous synopsis announcement numbered 50V1J3, of 16 August 2001. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has determined that the opportunity for contractors to respond to the survey, to determine the level of interest to a Tactical Aircraft Directed Infrared Countermeasures (TADIRCM) technology maturation effort, will close on 28 September 2001. The associated Program Office is developing further direction and guidance to the respondents of the CBD announcement. This non-acquisition program will team with contractors who will take their prototype system that currently demonstrates missile warning or infrared countermeasures technology, and improve the components that lack the technical maturity, in order to reduce the risk of the system as it possibly transitions to an acquisition program. Requests for further information should be in writing via e-mail to draperkp@navair.navy.mil. NAVAIR synopsis 20100-01.
