Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with CLONTECH Laboratories, Inc., 1020 East Meadow Circle, Palo Alto, CA 94303 for the acquisition of Item # 7905-1, Atlas Plastic Human 8K Microarray and Item # 7909-1, Atlas Plastic Rat 4.0 Microarray. The EPA has identified CLONTECH Laboratories the only vendor capable of satisfy the requirement. The circumstance permitting "other than full and open competition" is FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements". Interested parties who believe they can provide the required items should submit a written proposal within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provided the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored.
