- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20001213. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3822. Small business size standard is 750. NAICS is 334512. This acquisition is a 100% small business set aside. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (The award will be less than $100,000) will be followed. EAFB is seeking to purchase one (1) High Power Thermal Support Subsystem (TSS) Chiller, one (1) GPIB Box, and one (1) LAN. The salient characteristics for the required items follows: one (1) High Power TSS Chiller: The High Power TSS Chiller must possess a refrigeration system capable of cooling fluids down to ?60C, as opposed to the standard ?15C. The system must possess a fluid pump capable of operating and preserving fluid flow rates through 75-foot hoses as opposed to the standard 30-foot hoses. One (1) GPIB Box: The GPIB box is used in the TSS. The GPIB Box distributes command and telemetry signals between the LAN interface of the TSS and its components. These components are power supplies, vacuum gauges, chillers, etc. In the event that a GPIB Box fails, the host computer detects a fault with devices monitored by the GPIB Box. [SEE ATTACHMENT 1 FOR SPECIFICATIONS], One (1) LAN: The LAN communicates directly with the host computer and passes signals to the GPIB boxes. They distribute command and telemetry information between the TSS and its components. (LAN Operating System: HP-UX 9.X, 10.01, 10.20, Windows 95/98/NT/2000/Me, Controller: Series 700 (External or embedded, I/O Library: SICL/VISA, Buffering: None, Languages: Agilent VEE, C/C++, Basic/UX, Weight .635 kg (1.4 lb), Input Voltage: 5 VDC, Input Current: 0.8 A typical, Power Consumption: 4 W Typical, 10 W Max, Temperature Range: 0 to 40 C (operating), -40 to 70 C (Non-operating), Relative Humidity: 15% to 80% at 40 C (operating), 90% at 60 C for 24 hours (non operating), Input Voltage: 100 to 240 VAC, Input Current: 9.75 A Max, Frequency Range: 50/60 Hz, Output Current: 2.0 A at 5 VDC Max, Accessory Output: 100 to 240 VAC, 9.5 A at 50/60 Hz, Safety Specifications: IEC 950, UL1950, CSA 950/234, EMI Specifications: FCC, CISPR-22 Class A, EN 55022 Class A, VCCI Class 1, ESD Immunity: IEC 801-2, Radiated Immunity: IEC 801-3).
