Description
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency has a requirement to provide temporary accommodations for inspectors and escorts during monitoring missions at specific continental United States locations. A DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) for this requirement is cur rently available for comments upon request at edward.hale@dtra.mil. Comments and questions on the DRAFT RFP document will be accepted until close of business on the above response date, September 18, 2001. The requirement consists of providing integrated housing management, 13 to 17 hotel-like lodging units in close proximity to the each of eight chemical weapons demilitarization facilities, along with office space in close proximity to the lodging units. These lodging units are required from calendar ye ars 2002 through at least 2007 in Tooele, UT; Anniston, AL; Umatilla, OR; Pine Bluff, AR; Newport, IN; Aberdeen, MD; Pueblo, CO; and Blue Grass, KY. The integrated housing management requirement consists of the selected contractor providing reconnaissan ce for temporary lodging locations, reviewing available lodging opportunities, identifying and developing a brief discussing applicable lodging courses of action, resolving location lodging issues and Government disbursements, signing leasing instruments b ased on Government's final lodging selections, providing 13 to 17 lodging units at each location within limited notice, making selected lodging available for specified period of need, and accomplishing quality management follow-up. DTRA's intent is to awa rd an IDIQ contract to a HUBZone prime contractor who can provide all of the above services. Task Orders will identify the specific locations and time-periods for performance. DTRA intends to issue a formal solicitation within a week after comments on t he DRAFT RFP are received. See Note 27.
